IMAR creates the sculptural REE façade that sifts direct solar radiation and helps to improve the thermal properties of the space.

Beatriz Olalla, ACXT-IDOM, endorses this refurbishment consisting of two REE -Red Eléctrica de España- buildings, located in Tres Cantos Technology Park, Madrid.
This first phase of the refurbishment includes, among other things, a rearrangement of the spaces to make them more open and recognisable, as well as the installation of a metal cladding that allows the most demanding energy efficiency requirements to be met.
Solution
The façade is made of 1200 m² of ImarOrography® panels in galvanized steel with triangular perforations of different densities, depending on the orientation of façade, in addition to a second bespoke folding process, as used in roof cladding installations, reinforced by welding points to ensure its correct performance.

The metal skin was developed together with IDOM and carried out by Strunor. It protects the building from direct solar radiation and manages to improve the thermal properties of the space, as well as modernising and decorating it without reducing the amount of interior space.
